I grinded the flanges and installed the top wing hinge half riveted in place with a mix of cabosil and flox. I knew they would be long at 26 inches for removal of the cowl but wanted to push the hinge length to the limit. I clecoed the matching half to the cowl and mounted everything in place. At the end, I had to cut off 5 teeth from the firewall end of the top cowl hinge to allow for easy removal.
